Everything you need to know about me
Producing Website Content
I currently run my own food and travel blog, ‘Food & Baker’ alongside my partner, and it is here I have learnt the art of creating exciting and engaging website content. I write blog posts every single week with content ranging from my own recipes, to restaurant visits and travel reviews.
With my previous Interrail trip around Europe and recent trips to America, I have launched more content on travel, where I have been lucky enough to work with a number of hotels, restaurants and attractions to write promotional material which details my experiences. The blog currently has over 250,000 page views since its launch in mid-2015.
Social Media Management
To support my blog, I have built a strong Facebook, Twitter and Instagram following. My combined following currently stands at over 5,000 social media users, and I believe this has stemmed from having a genuine love for interacting with my followers and becoming part of the food and travel blogging community.
In my previous role in Social Media Marketing for XclusiveTouch, I simultaneously managed 12 Instagram and Facebook accounts for each of the company’s events. Through the creation of fresh and exciting content on a daily basis I grew The Reggae Brunch’s Instagram following four-fold to over 20,000 within one year of managing it. This was one of many factors in getting the promotion to Event Manager.
In September 2016, I attended a food photography course with Blogger Skills Academy, which taught me techniques and on how to best utilise the professional camera I had just invested in for my blogs.
Since then, I believe my level of photography has drastically improved and is evident by the content on Food & Baker and my social media accounts.
I also believe my verbal communication to be as strong as my written abilities. I gained my confident nature and communication attributes during my time as Stage Manager of Miss and Mr Philippines UK Beauty Pageant, as it was absolutely essential that I was able to organise large groups of young people in weekly rehearsals and on show night.
I carried this forward to my most recent role of Events Manager of The Reggae Brunch. I’m able to communicate with colleagues and customers in high-pressure environments and manage teams of over 20 to execute a successful event. The Reggae Brunch London has sold out every single week since I took over the role in March 2018.
